Why do people from countries like brazil, india always get asked for interview and those from the UK get to have theirs waived?

I can't talk about Indians, but as a Brazilian myself... I can totally understand why immigration officials would want to interview us.

I dont think it has any relationship to the country. I am from India, but my interview was waived and I know of many others from India whose interviews were waived. If you have all the necessary documents that supports all your claims, in most cases the interview will be waived

can you please adivce me, in my case, CIC new delhi ask us to us to submit PCC for me and my wife, RPRF Fees and medical, which we have submiteed in Mid sept'08, do they take interview in our case?

I have applied in Jan 2006 from UAE and got my file No. in May 2006, Now after the final call for the final documents , have submitted the PCC from all three countries that we lived in, along with the final documents concerning Funds proof. The PA being my wife is not i employment since last two years,The papers were submitted and I have got the acceptance notice for interview. So can you tell me now how much time it takes to get the interview ? And how much time after interview to get the medical done?
