Good afternoon to all, I would like to give an update on my In-Process status, had an interview at the Port of Spain office today 2/9/15 that went pretty well, but i was ask to do medicals for my son who was born in the U.S. I did not list him on my application as a dependent but listed him as one of my sons whom were all born in the U.S.Is this correct,I find this to be misleading to what i have been told, can someone enlighten me on this?

All of your non-Canadian children under the age of 19 must be declared as dependents in your application and medically examined.

It will delay your application. CIC does not want to give a PR visa to someone without having their children examined. If your child is not examined, you will never be able to sponsor him, even if circumstances change.
You can do all you can to convince the mother to have him medically examined. Document what you do. Then you will have to send this evidence to the visa office with a letter or form stating that you know you will never be able to sponsor him.

The best thing to do is to try to convince the mother to let him be examined. If she won't listen to you, is there a family member or friend who could talk to her for you? If she lets her son be examined, that does not mean that you can take him right away to Canada. But it does leave open the possibility that you will be able to sponsor him in the future. For example, what if she dies? Or your son wants to come to Canada later for school? It is in the child's best interest to be examined now.

And did your wife get that son before you be together?all she got him when you were already married. do you have only one kid(that sone)? if you have many why would she refuse just for that one if I may ask?

What I can suggest you, for not delaying your process talk with your wife and assure her that even if results might reveal that the son is not yours, you have no problem with that.you know after all, only wifes/mo0thers can know who 100% whr are our fathers.

Hi lonelyguy thanks for replying,.,.,I do have three kids all boys which i love dearly 27,18 and 15,three different mothers not proud of that I must add but I cannot cry over spilled milk, those are kids I had before my current wife at present, the mother in question belongs to my fifteen year old who has to do the medicals, the child is in no question belongs to me but the fact that our relationship became estrange some 12 years ago and there was some animosity. She is reluctant to adhere per the cic request,She is well aware of the fact that when I become a pr/ctn I will not be able to sponsor him regardless off,I am not going to try and convince her anymore about this process,.,.,I was told by cic to write a letter explaining my situation on this matter,.,.,Do you have any advise other than what you've mention on your previous post?

You need to write a letter acknowledging that realize your son will be excluded from the Family Class and that you will never be able to sponsor him. and have this letter notarized. Include any proof you have of the mother's refusal to allow the medical. If there is a custody arrangement showing you have no rights to the child, include that as well.
