Hi guys,
My application was received on November 15, 2011, and they started processing my application on January 17, 2012. By the way, my Medical results have been received and it'll expire next month :(.
Later, my file was transferred to Buffalo and then the Buffalo officer sent me a letter telling " my interview is July 25, 2012." However, I received a letter on June 1,2012 saying that my interview was cancelled because of the closure of Buffalo.I have been waiting for a long time since I applied for permanent Visa.I'm getting impatient and not knowing what to do next?
I sent E-mails to "OttPilot-Immigration" section and other consulates, lately I was told my case was just transferred to LA at the beginning of September and LA will contact me if anything comes up . I feel so depressed, how long do I have to wait?
I know there's nothing I can do to the situation,in fact I've been telling myself "keep waiting". Well, I just want do know if there is anyone in the same boat? I'm going a little crazy because my plan has been in a jam.
Best wishes to you guys.

There're a few of us having the same situation like yours:

Thanks for your reply. I'm considering about applying FBI clearance in advance now. Do you guys ever think about that? In additional, I've sent E-mail to LA twice just to check about my status, unluckily no answer from them so far.I'm worrying about my Medication Result will expire when they start looking at it. Also, I wonder if they may look at my case later since we live in the United States together. My husband is a Canadian citizen working here with work permit while me living here with visit visa.He really wants to go back to Canada but have to be stuck here because of me. I thought about applying for visit visa to Canada but many people told me that's a bad idea because it may influence my immigration case.

I would expect instructions be given once a LA officer reviews our file. For now, we're just waiting.

I just hope our interviews will be waived and they simply issue visa as soon as possible. But that sounds like a dream, probably this long waiting thing drove me crazy.

We hope so too. Maybe LA is going to be basing on how strong your case is in terms of interview selection, not like Buffalo was totally basing on if the applicant was from a visa-exempt or visa-required country. :'(
Hang in there.

I didn't know that Buffalo was totally basing on if the applicant was from a visa-exempt or visa-required country. Any good luck to your case? I check about my case status every day, but there's no news there.
