I have been perusing the forum, after a good deal of comments or questions regarding interview questions I thought maybe creating a thread for anyone who experienced an interview to post what questions they were asked would be cool. That way those of us that may be facing one can prepare ;D (Maybe there is something like this already that I didn't see??)

Thanks to all that submit!!

scylla: Thank you for the link!

I was also looking for individual experiences too. So if anyone wants to add any questions they had asked during their interview that would be great!!

THANKS!

Some of the question my husband was asked was:

Does your wife cook home?my husband answer both.
Then asked what is the name of the place she goes to eat?
How do you communicate with your spouse? he answered skype
Then he was asked how much it cost to use skype to communicate?
Do you have a watch?what is the time where your wife lives right now?
what is her favorite singer?
Why did you marry in very short time ?3X asked 3different way
HOw much is your spouse rent, what is included..?
What is your spouse job,how much earns?
how she goes to work?
how many hours?
How many friends does she have?why only .. friends?
whats your spouse hobby?
When you want to go to canada?

They asked more just cant remember which was yes/no questions.
The officer wanted short answer to the questions, if he wanted to explain they asked him to stop.lol

I would appreciate also if others can share their experience 8)

At our interviews, the visa officer asked the same questions over and over. For example, when she was talking to me (I am the sponsor) she kept asking me how I knew my husband would not just run away once he got to Canada. Unfortunately, the true answer is that no one could know that for sure - the visa officer's husband might have run off that very day, for all she knew. Not a good answer, though.
She kept asking my husband over and over why he wanted to marry a fat woman. His answers were perfectly fine, but the visa officer kept asking the same thing anyway.

Frankly, the best thing to prepare for the interview is to: 1. learn all you can about the sponsor's life in Canada (family, friends, previous relationships, jobs, hobbies, all about the town they live in, etc.); 2. make sure you look over the application and that your answers will be consistent with what is written there; and 3. realize that many visa officers will try to make you nervous or angry, so just keep calm, answer their questions, and don't get rattled or change your answers if they ask the same things over and over.

omg thats so rude! how they can discriminate people like that and we should just shut and accept the fact that they have right so say such thing :-X
Your point is right about them trying to make you angry&upset, cuz all they are waiting for is for you to change your answers
when asked many times and 2 to check your body language whne you answer them.

I guess mostly they ask questions related to the application. But we were only asked one question from the application beside that everything is related to my life only.

why he wanted to marry a fat woman ? :o What was your husband answer ?

I understand how stressful an interview can be... i went through a big deal of stress myself before my interview. But now im sharing my experience, i wanna tell u that if your relationship is genuine, u will have absolutely no problem... you have to be confident, and not showing stress in front of the officer. the best secret is PRAY GOD... sometimes u face a very difficult officer, ask God to send u a friendly one. i had a friendly officer who didnt take more than 10 min interviewing me...Some officers are very discret, u wont know nothing about ur interview decision, but mine was very friendly and real. he just told me he was satisfied about my answers and hes convinced we are genuine, cause yes we are... so thats all i can tell you and if you are real, u will get ur visa.

He loves me, he likes fat women (his previous girlfriend, not a foreigner, was also fat), and many people in Nigeria are fat anyway so what's the big deal?

I am appalled that they would ask such an irrelevant question. What does your body size have to do with?Nothing and it's none of their business either. I find that question bordering on personal rudeness to say the least.
