Does anybody knows if everyone who gets permanent visa is going to have second interview on airport? My husband think yes, I think not everyone. He already had one interview and we are about to pay landing fee.

Many thanks

they will say him welcome and ask the address where he intend to go because on that address they will mail Permanent resident card they will make sure he has money for going into canada he can show travel cheques and see approval for PR thats all.

I am not sure if my husband has to show certain amount of money while coming to Canada. I am sponsoring him, and I did't see on CIC web. that he has to bring money. If yes, what is the amount of money and what is the limit?

For what I've read before, if you got a job in Canada, and if he has been granted a PR, I don't think he needs to present any significant amount of money. I wouldn't travel with less than C$400 for emergencies in either cash or plastic, and not with at least C$100 in cash exclusively to a maximum of $300.
Also if he is traveling with more than $10,000. he has to let the officer know, otherwise could get you in serious trouble.

My wife just landed Sunday. She just had to confirm her address to send the PR card and show her list of items. Done.

Yes, that sounds reasonable to me. If my husband is sponsored, than why he needs money to bring? But it's also realistic to have emergency money while traveling.

Many thanks

When i was at the airport with my husband, i heard them questioning one person. What is the name of your spouse? what is his date of birth, what is his address? is this the address u will be staying at? I was with him so he didn't get questioned. But they usually ask few questions.

Basically questions that are allready in the file so no new questions! But it was a struggle because the girl didn't know the address she will be staying at. We left before I knew the outcome. So make sure you know the address and the information that u allready provided the Immigration.

They also asked us to write the money that my husband brought with him. There is a box for it on your confirmation of landing.
