hello guys i received this email on friday am i going to get my visa same day after the interveiw, wow am nervous, what do you this guys.

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to continue processing your application, an interview is required. We are therefore pleased to advise that an interview has been scheduled for you:

ON: 01-02-2011 AT: 08:00 am

LOCATION: Canadian High Commission, 42 Independence Ave, P.O. Box 1639, Accra, Ghana.

The purpose of this interview will be to determine your eligibility for admission to Canada, and if applicable, to provide counselling on life there.

Unless you have been specifically instructed otherwise by the officer, all of your accompanying family members over the age of 16 should be present for the interview as well. If any are absent, processing of your application may be delayed.

If you have not already submitted originals of all the required documents with your application, you may bring them to the interview. If you are being sponsored by a person in Canada, please bring any additional proof of contact that you have not submitted with your application.

PLEASE NOTE:
If you fail to keep your appointment, and we have not otherwise heard from you WITHIN 60 DAYS of your scheduled interview, we will assess your application based on the information available on file, which may result in your file being refused.

Do not give up employment, dispose of household effects or make travel or any other arrangement until you have received notice that you are accepted for immigration. There is no assurance at this stage that a visa will be granted to you.

Please bring this letter, any relevant supporting documents, and your passport with you when you appear for your appointment.

A copy of this letter has been sent to your sponsor in Canada, if applicable.

Regards,

There are several excellent threads on this forum regarding the type of questions that may be asked during an interview, you need to be prepared to answer any of these questions truthfully and confidently. See the one below for example:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t46371.0.html

As the letter says, bring along any additional evidence of contact between you and your sponsor since the application was submitted. Also, if there are any secondary applicants (children etc), they MUST accompany you to the interview.

Any documents of which you submitted copies, take the originals with you, along with your passport.

No-one can say if you will receive your visa that day, since you have to attend an interview, how you do during the interview will be important in the IO making a positive decision.

Prepare, prepare, prepare, and good luck :)

This is the normal form letter the embassy in Accra sends out - my Nigerian husband got the same one.
If you 'pass' the interview, you might get the visa the same day; there's no way to tell.
