Hi All,

My wife is an International Student pursuing one year post graduate certificate program.
she is planning to do a six month government sponsored paid internship as soon as she graduates in June 2017. My question is will this Internship be counted as Canadian work experience when she applies for Express Entry?

No. It won't count as experience for EE.
