Hello everyone,

I am a diploma nurse from Switzerland and applied for PR a couple of months ago.
I do have a question to all diploma nurses in the same situation: does
anyone know if a 3-4 year diploma is sufficient to apply for registration in bc ?
or is there no change of becoming a registered nurse in bc without a degree ?
are these re-entry programs for internationally educated nurses for diploma nurses
like me? and after finishing one of these programs I am definitely able to apply for regstration ?
The thing is, I really don't know if it would be the best option to study for a post-diploma BScN-degree
while I am still in Switzerland, or if one of these programs for internationally educated nurses is fine.

Anyone in the same situation ? I would be soo happy for any information or idea.

Hello,
I think you need a degree to be an RN in BC. I am not sure if there is a program to bridge into degree, but there will most likely be a program

In Ontario, there is a program like that. Its 2 years at York University.
