Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I'm currently a December applicant who has not yet received my MR (freaking out a little). I am living in Toronto under a bridging permit pending the decision of my PR.

I'm due to return home (Australia) for an emergency visit to a family ember who is very unwell. I will be away for about 3 weeks, leaving soon.

My Question...

If I return home, and for some horrible reason my application gets rejected, is there any chance that I will not be able to reenter canada? Does my bridging permit expire instantly, despite being valid for a year OR until PR is decided. I just don't want to return back to Toronto to find immigration informs me my application has been declined and I have no current visa/permit to stay in canada anymore. I know this sounds horrible, and is really unlikely to happen, but I just want to see if anyone has any thoughts on what the process might be in regards to this situation becoming a reality. I'm still hopeful that my MR is going to come soon, despite being later than a lot other Dec Applicants that have already received theirs. The fact the CIC website says my application is still "Application Received" status is promising, and it hasn't been declined yet. Sorry for the stressful email, I'm losing sleep over this whole process and it's been making my so anxious lately, combine with the personal issues back home in Australia.

Thanks in advance.

The issuance of the BOWP is based on your PR application however the its validity is not linked to the result . I think you are fine till the expiry date of Work permit.
