Hi everybody!
Me and my wife are currently in Toronto, ON.
We came as Working Holiday Visa students.
I got accepted to Seneca college my program is 2 years. My wife is gonna get an Open Work Permit for the same period of time since she is entitled to one as my spouse. This is all clear and cool. But I have a few questions about my application.

So I got my letter of acceptance and everything, paid my tuition so it's time to apply for my Study Permit. I decided to do it online since it's usually faster and more convenient for me. Everything was OK until I got a question saying "Do you want to extend your family member's stay in canada as well?" I got confused cuz my lawyer said she's gonna apply when I have gotten my study permit. Or can we apply together when I still don't have my study permit? I pressed YES it asked me a bunch of questions, type of permit she would like to get which is work but it didn't say spouse work permit it just read Work Permit etc. In the very end where you attach your documents I have to attach 4 documents for my study permit which are: letter of acceptance, passport, proof of funds and MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE!!!! Whereas under my wife's name there is only one document required which is her passport! Does the system somehow know we want a Spouse Open Work Permit? Or should I just press NO when it asks me if I'd like to extend my wife's stay and then when I get my study permit she should apply?

Thank you very much for your help!!!

Hi, we kinda have similar situations. I am on a Work visa in Canada and my husband is a Visitor. I am planning to apply for Study Permit and spouse's Open Work Permit at the same time. But when I answer the questions online I can upload only 2 documents for myself (marriage certificate and passport) and one document for my family member (passport). Why do you think this is happening? Also, did you find out if you can apply for your study permit and your wife's open work permit at the same time online from within Canada?

Hi,
You can scan all the 4 documents and make them as one single document.Thats what I did.

Thanks. I also noticed that when I choose my status as a worker I can upload all four documents, but when I choose live-in caregiver, only 2. Which status should I choose? worker or live-in caregiver? Also was your application approved? and what kind of document you applied for?

I am an international student. I was admitted to a premaster program in cananda. Now I want to ask you I should accompany my spouse in study visa form and then he should simeltanously apply for an open work permit or he cant because he needs my study permit?
