Hi All,

I have a friend in India who has applied for Accounting Program and also has received letter of Acceptance from a Winnipeg College. But her marriage is preponed.

Now she is almost at the verge of applying. The situation is her loan would be approved in couple of days . For her other living expenses she has arranged money from her Parents and 2 other close relatives

Few questions
1) What of her chances of getting Visa if she applies now and then her husband later applies as a Dependent (Open Work Permit)?
2) Or it is better to apply together after marriage even if Visa gets delayed due to this. Following problems could arise due to this
a. Money arrangement which is done for living expenses right now could NOT be used for other purposes till the marriage (and thus Visa) is done , a small part of the money they need to return back once bank statements are taken out
b. The Delay in applying VISA after marriage could lead to problems like reaching Canada Late as in exactly at the time when collage starts. This would leave her with no buffer

Also some expert immigration person told her that Dependent VISAs in cases where Spouse has 4-5 years of work experience are generally dealt with LOT OF SCRUTINY. I.e. officer might take it a case of permanent immigration as WHY A PERSON with so much experience would like to come to Canada for one year and put his or her career at a risk.

Now they need to know.
1) What is her chance of getting a VISA?
2) What are her fiancé ( Spouse at the time of applying ) chances of getting a Dependent VISA.
3) Are there are chances of getting these Visas are slightly better as the collage is in Winnipeg (Manitoba)?

Hello every one

I'm a Ph.D. student at Concordia, I started my program in Jan 2010, i came alone to Montreal and lift my wife and 2 kids back home. I was planning to bring them after i finish my 1st year at Concordia.

On October, 2010 they applied for visa to rejoin me, I submitted all the required doc.
1- My job letter back home which prove that i still hold my job and my employer pays me.
2-A plot of land on my name.
3- A house contract that i own
4 bank statement from home shows my salary still comes in.

after two week, the visa was rejected based on:

1- Country ties
2- travel history.

I wrote a letter to the embassy and explained them that i have every thing to tie me and my family to my country.

and we got rejection for the second time with:
1- country ties.

I went to a Canadian Mp office and he asked about my filed and they told him we did not see the plot of land paper and etc
The Mp wrote a letter and faxed it to the embassy and gave me a copy and asked me to apply again.

In the third time we applied with:
the above docs and:
1- Mp`s letter
2- A plot of land owned by my wife.

My wife's and kids visa were rejected for the third time with:

1- country ties
2- travel history ( this condition was in the first rejection letter and when we submitted a prove that sh traveled before they removed this condition in the second letter and put it again in the third letter) this is so ridiculous.

My pregame is 4 years and i can`t live like this without my family,

Please guys advice me what to do???

thank you to all for replyng experieance
this country only making money thrue rejection of visa they give wrong reson lots of spouse get rejected 3 or more time its ...... country

Hi hanisuliman.

Of all the cases I have heard of rejection yours seems to be one of most strange ones.
Dint understand what exactly are they looking at if you have already shown property papers .

By the ways where are your and your spouse's Parents ?

Thanks man for your comments ... that's what make me crazy about the rejection.. the parents and siblings of my spouse and mine are at my home country...what about appealing the decision in the court here in Canada??

Finally ,i got my wife's visa today ---process time 5 weeks....islamabad CHC
