International Student Sponsoring His wife

Dear All .
I landed in Canada in the first week of Jan as an international student . I was working as a telecom Engineer In Dubai since 2008 . My marital status is married but I didn't bring them with me here in Canada.

My question is , I want my family to sponsor to bring them in Canada but what will be the procedure as well as what will be the status they will get here .

My Visa is valid till Nov 2013 but I am eligible to apply for the work permit for next one year .

You can not sponsor your family as you are not a Canadian Resident or Canadian Citizen. However, it is possible that your family can apply for visit visa or tourist visa. But since your student visa expires in November 2013, it is highly unlikely that your family will be granted a visit visa.

Why don't you speak to your student counselor at the college you are enrolled in?
