Hello everyone

I am currently an International Student and my program will end on April 2020 (study permit ends July 2020).

I have over 12 years of Human Resources experience in my home country, MS Office 2016 Master level certification, and a part-time job on campus as a Database Administrator.

I wanted to know if anyone has been an International Student and then applied to the Federal Skilled Worker Program?

I tried submitting an application recently (31 December 2019) but was rejected because my General Training IELTS is expiring on 20 January 2020. All other requirements seem to have been met and I really think this was the sole reason my application was rejected.

Can anyone please guide me on how I can progress my FSW application while still studying as an International Student?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Best regards,

Yes - you can certainly apply for FSW while an International Student if you meet the requirements. You follow the same steps to apply as anyone else would - there is no special process for international students. You will need to re-write IELTS as a first step.

You'll need to make sure you have sufficient proof of funds as well.
