International student and express entry

Hi,

I am an international student and recently became for express entry (should get ITA in next 2-3 rounds based on my score).

My first query is that can I apply for express entry and take next semester off and remain in canada? When I am on semester drop period, if I get PR, then I would like to change my status and domestic student and save the money.

Another thing which I am concerned is about the section of personal history. Before coming to canada, I did a temporary job (2 month) for which I did not get any experience letter. So while applying for study permit, I did not include this information in my personal history. Now I am worried that if I apply for express entry and declare that job in personal history, there would be a mismatch in the information provided for study permit and the one provided for express entry. Any suggestion would be of helpful.

Thanks

If you want to take an unscheduled semester off, you'll need to stop working (assuming you are working off campus) and you should apply to change your status to visitor to ensure there are no issues with your status in Canada.

I dont plan to work during unscheduled semester off. I can manage with my savings.

What about the issue with differences in personal history? If I declare that temporary job, then will my application for study permit be considered as misrepresentation?

It will not be considered as a misinterpretation. But since you said that you do not have your experience letter declaring it now will create an issue in pR application as you will be required to submit experience letter and if rrqreques payslips. If you have those documents go ahead including the work experience

Thanks, The thing is it was not even a formal job. I was supposed to be filling in shoes till they find the replacement. I did not even receive an appointment letter and I left the organization on bad terms without experience letter because they were delaying to find the replacement and making me to do the work which I was not supposed to do. And I am not claiming any points for the job.

Then my suggestion is do not include that job in your PR application.

I just hope it does not come up in background verification and lead to misrepresentation.
It will not come up as misinterpretation because I think you have no proof of employment for those 2 months. In your personal history you can declare it as unemployed. It would be considered as misinterpretation if you included this in your work history and if you didn't submit the necessary documents.
