Glad I found this forum.
My fiance is Costa Rican and we are a little confused on the marriage/residency process. She has a tourist Visa and ultimately we plan on getting married and living in Canada with sporadic visits to Costa Rica in the winter months. We have some questions about the process.
1. What documents does a Canadian male require in order to get married to a Costa Rica.
2. What documents does a Costa Rican woman require in order to get married in Canada.
3. Is it better to marry in Canada or Costa Rica? I understand the marriage if done properly will be accepted by the Canadian officials.
4. My fiance is currently with me in Canada so when do we apply for her permanent residency? I understand we can apply for an outland PR as she has a permanent address in Costa Rica.
I am sure many more questions but these are the big ones for now.
