International graduates LMIA required???

Dear All

I find this new express entry details quite confusing. Many people are saying it makes settlement for international graduates difficult. My question is, does international graduates from canada also require LMIA for job to qualify for any PR program under express entry? I have read at CIC that they are exempt? Whats the truth of it?

No - you don't require an LMIA to create a profile under Express Entry.

However profiles are selected based on points. A job offer with an LMIA gets you 600 extra points and guarantees selection.

International students who are working under a PGWP do not get the extra 600 points (unless their employer also gets an LMIA).

So yes - it's definitely harder now than it used to get PR as an International Student.
