Interfaith faith marriage and governments

1- interfaith marriages for women are banned in my home country (also my country of residence).I can't travel to Canada either because of stringent visa policies.

2- If I get married in a country that permits interfaith marriage, am I required by IRCC to also apprise my home country of my marriage? I don't want to. Because interfaith marriage and for women is illegal here and I could get in big trouble. So what do I do?

3- When my spouse sponsors me,I have to fill and sign an authorisation form allowing IRCC to contact any government and share any information with them that's submitted by me. So will they tell my government of my interfaith marriage? This can really put me in grave danger if anyone's religion wakes up.

Are there any experts who can advise? Or address my misgivings.

IRCC only requires the marriage to be legal in the country where it happened, and also in Canada. So no, you don't have to tell your home country about your marriage. You will need to have proper documentation of the marriage in the third-country, that's all.

IRCC will not tell your government about your marriage. You can also mention this in a letter attached to your application. In general, though, the authorisation is to allow IRCC to check records such as police records from your home country. They will never simply share information that has nothing to do with your home country.

Is this for sure. And is this written anywhere. I'm sorry I'm being so obsessive about this. Because if they do tell them about the interfaith marriage it could literally put my life in danger.

Sorry, I don't have that kind of iron-clad guarantee for you.

You should talk to an immigration lawyer for subjects this serious - this is just an internet forum with people helping each other.. but no one here can be responsible for things that can put your life in danger.

Good luck. You can try the law firm that hosts these forums (I'm not an employee or otherwise connected to them, I just know they are a legitimate law firm and have been around for many years)
