Interesting Note on Treatment of Women in CA

Hello / AoA / Greetings,

Don't mean to rile up useless hate banter, but would like to share this blog post that I came across yesterday. Not to say I feel any safer in my current country of residence than I would in CA, once I land there with my family, including 2 teenage daughters.

Unfortunately these sickening occurrences r happening in the homes of the same ppl who had been doing that in their erstwhile home country, typically in the homes of certain nationalities... it's not a societal norm/anomaly here. The majority of Canadians r not party to this phenomenon. And policing cannot be done inside our houses... thus, if the immigrant here brings along with him that immoral mindset and continues to propagate it here as well even after observing the unconformity of Canadian society towards such acts -- it becomes tough for everyone.

Fortunately there r plentiful resources put forth by the govt. here towards the victims... they have a sound recourse, legal assistance and safety-net from future such occurrences -- which is lacking in their previous homeland... I wouldn't say 'not available' there - but definitely lacks teeth... but here it's another ballgame altogether... the aggressor will be punished -- and the victim will be comforted.

That's the wonder of this beautiful country!
