Hi all,
I am currently employed by a UK company, I started working for them about 1.5 years ago. I currently have a work permit with them (not open) through a procedure called Inter-company Transfer from the start of this year. I initially came to Canada on a business visit but now I am able to stay and work here for a year and go back to UK freely. I applied to IEC around March because some personal things have happened that have wanted me to stay in Canada longer and I also would like more freedom with the work VISA. I got my invitation letter this past week. So I want to go for it and apply. But I have a few questions:
- Does IEC count towards PR?
- Can I get the IEC work permit and then continue with my current work like normal? and continue to be payed by the UK office?
- I currently get payed by the UK office, I would like for that to continue until I decide to move to a Canadian Company and have to get payed in CAD. Is there any issues that may arise?
Thanks
