I'm a Brazilian currently working in Brazil for an US company based in New Orleans.

My wife is going to study at Centennial College, Toronto, on Jan/19 for a 2 year length course. Since this I asked my company in US to be transfered to Toronto on the same position. They agreed, but need to know the questions below:

1 - I want to know if I can go back and forth US/Canada. I know that with my US visa I can enter and leave US as much as I can. In Canada would be the same with an eTA visa?
2 - Canada work visa can be applied for in Jan/19 (when my wife classes start) with an expected approval in Feb/Mar. It's possible for me to get a sooner work visa in Canada with a letter from the US company that I work for?
3 - It's possible for me to work remote in Canada (attending canadian and brazilian companies) being hired in Brazil or US?

Thanks in advanced and I'm looking foward to your replies

1. I don't understand this question. Canada and the US are two different countries. A US visa does not allow you to work in Canada.
2. You can apply for an open work permit when your wife applies for the study permit. However you won't be able to start working until your wife starts her classes.
3. Yes.

Thanks for the reply! To clarify better my questions:

2 - If I understood right, even if the US company that I work for try to issue a Canadian work visa it would not work out. My only option would be to get the open work permit as you explained?

3 - So if I was hired by US or still be hired here in Brazil I would not have problems to work remotely and visit customers in Canada?

1. No. An ETA does not give you the right to enter and leave Canada as you wish. It allows you to visit Canada temporarily only. Whether you are allowed in and for how long is at the discretion of CBSA officer. If you are spending too much time in Canada or entering too often, you can expect that you may run into problems at the border.
2. If your company is in the US, then I don't see how you can obtain a closed work permit. Yes - the OWP would be your only option.
3. You need a work permit to do that. As long as you have an open work permit - then you are fine.

Thank you very much, you're my savior!

One more thing, there is a visa or document that I can get which allows me to enter and exit Canada as much as I need (bussiness trips)?
