Hi Everyone,

I have 1 year of work experience in Canada under PGWP in NOC B category. I am filling up my Express Entry profile and have the below queries under Intended work in Canada category:-

1) Just curious to know if this section is asking us questions related to current job in Canada? I have had 2 jobs under the same NOC B (9 months in Company A and later Company B is my current company that includes the rest of the 3 months of experience)

1) Does <my name> have a job offer in Canada? I am currently working but not under LMIA. Should I answer YES or NO here? I do have a job offer letter from my current employer though.

2) How do I ensure my points are calculated under CEC category? Under the Primary occupation category should i select the current job NOC? Note that I do have an experience of 3.5 years before coming to Canada.

Please let me know if anyone could help with these queries.

Thanks much!

Point 1 - since you are pgwp without an lmia in that case you cannot claim points for the job offer. This is applicable for closed/employer specific work permit(conditions apply) and lmia supported work permits.

Point 2 - Since you are claiming the points for CEC work exp you should select the NOC code in which you gained 1 yr work exp in Canada. The rest of the 3.5 yrs which you attained overseas can be used to get additional points for your foreign work exp (even if it is a different NoC). But please make sure if you claiming work experience in Canada or overseas back it up with reference letters from your employer...
