Intended stay in appl form was 6 weeks, got visa, book trip tkts for 9-10 weeks?

So I'm an int'l student in Canada and my mom got accepted for a visitor visa until Dec 2015 (as her passport expires then)

If she mentioned her intended dates of stay of around 6 weeks in the TRV application form, does she have to ask the POE officer for 6 weeks only or can she ask to stay a little longer, maybe say 9-10 weeks?

Would it affect her visa renewal application?

Good chance she will be given 6 months on entry, but she can ask for 10 weeks if she wants.

No, I said 6 months, which the is the normal period given to most visitors on entry.
