Most (all?) medical insurance in Canada for visitors/temporary worker offers coverage for travel outside of Canada except the country they are from.
And every travel insurance offered by Canadian company are not offered for those not yet permanent resident.
Since my spouse lived here for more than 1 year, she is not eligible for public insurance in Japan.
What people do when travelling to their home country?
