Insurance certificate for dependent child

Hi,

I am in Canada for four years now, I have the OHIP card and trough my employee I joined the group health plan with Standard Life and I received Standard Life individual insurance certificate.

Now my son has joined me here in Canada. I have applied for the family coverage at Standard Life, added my son as dependent and I received family insurance certificate with my name on it. On the Standard Life web pages I see that my son was added to my file. So far, so good.

Now my question. Will my son also receive the insurance certificate with his name on it? Can he use mine certificate? I can print my certificate from Standard Life web pages but I do not see his certificate there. I do not have any experience here, any advice is more than welcome.
