Good day :). First of all, I would assume that there are some other post similar to this; however, given how frequent IRCC rules change, I would like to ask the question again.

I am expected to graduate from my program this May 2017 and I'm currently working part-time while studying (full-time during school breaks) and I'm planning to apply for a PGWP as soon as I obtain my transcripts from the school.

So the question is, during the time between sending my application and IRCC sending back a result, would I be able to work full-time for my current employer? As far as I know I will be able to work the same way I am. Does this still hold true? Thank you in advance to anyone who answers my question.

Yes, you can work full time while waiting for PGWP, under implied status.

It is the time between finishing your course and actually applying for the PGWP might be an issue given you would no longer be in education or on a break. Once you have put the PGWP application in then you can work full time pending a decision.
