Hello,
My study permit expires in August and my student visa expires in July 31. I want to go home for a bit in the summer. I already applied to extend my study permit from inside Canada, but i might not get it in time. Is it fine if i leave even though I applied from inside Canada? Can i leave in april and come back at the end of June before both of them expire? This will give me time or apply for my student visa, and will give me time to reapply for my study permit extension incase it gets denied.

You will need to stay in Canada to have maintained status. But since you already applied, and you intend to travel in June, you can raise webform in April or even use local MP office requesting to get decision before your travel. I'm not sure if flagpole is an option, others will comment

You can do that but there is no guarantee you will be allowed back into Canada if your extension hasn't been approved.
