Inquiry about citizenship requirements

Dear All,

I have a question, I couldn’t find a complete answer, assume I stayed 2.5 years within the 5 years since I obtained my PR status then I am eligible to renew my PR but I am not eligible to citizenship so to become eligible I have to start a NEW cycle of 5 years and stay 3 years out of them or continue counting 3 years from the previous 5 years cycle. I don’t know exactly how they would calculate my citizenship eligiblality

If you will apply this January 2019, your eligibility period is January 2014-January 2019. As long as you meet the 3 years (1095 days, having extra/buffer days is recommended) WITHIN the 5 years before applying, you are good to go.
