Inland vs. Outland sponsorship

I did try to search this here but as the immigration rules have changed in the last few years, I would like someone to explain the difference to me.

My story:
Currently on a dual citizenship - Canada & Israel, currently living in Israel, engaged to an Israeli and wanting to sponsor him as a spouse after marriage.

We have just started gathering our papers but this is still confusing me as I'm seeing the applicant needs to fill them out, send them to the sponsor (we live together - problem or not?) and then send it to Mississauga in order for them to be sent to Tel Aviv..

Thx!

The rules for spousal sponsorship actually haven't changed in the last few years. They are effectively the same today as they were back in 2010 when I sponsored my husband.

To apply inland, you would both need to be in Canada. So if you are both outside of Canada outland is your only option.

You'll need to complete the entire application package (both the sponsor and applicant sections) and then send them together to Mississauga. Make sure you are using the outland forms. Mississauga completes the sponsorship evaluation before forwarding the file to the local visa office for the applicant assessment.

Hey,

I am Canadian-Israeli, living in Israel with my common-law, and sent my documents recently.

The guide does a good job in explaining what you (sponsor) needs to fill out and what the applicant (person being sponsered) needs to fill out.

For example, you (as the sponsor) do not need a medical or a police report.

Living together is not a problem. You send your complete application to Mississauga. If you get approved as a sponsor, they send the sponsored persons application to Tel-Aviv to continue to the process.

if you have any more questions, let me know.
