How long does the entire inland spousal sponsorship take? Does the application gets real scrutiny compared to outland? I had filed an outland application for my ex, which I withdrew after we got divorced, will this affect my upcoming inland application?

It takes 9-10 months AFTER Vegreville receives your inland application to give you an answer about the AIP (first stage approval) decision. Which is to approve both the sponsors eligibility and applicant's portion. If they need an interview or there are complications you will not receive AIP after 9-10 months but they will instead transfer the application to the local CIC office closest to where you live. It can take anywhere from a few months to a few years to get an interview to assess you for AIP decision. The time it takes just depends on the local CIC office itself. If there are, however, no complications and they don't transfer your application without AIP then the whole process can take 12-18 months for it to be completely finalized and for you to get PR status.

They do not scrutinize easier or harder on either Outland or Inland. They assess them the same way.
