My In Canada application reached Vegreville on October 26, 2012. I have the following questions to ask:
1. Will my application be returned because I was told I didnt need the T4 or the Option C form for spousal sponsorship and so I didnt send them?
2. Will CIC call my bank or insurance company to verify the info since we included joint bank acc and insurance?
3. Will they call our landlord, to find out if we are living together?
4. And how long it takes to hear from CIC
5. I was out of status before I applied. Will this add any challenge to my application?

I am awaiting some answers :) :)

1. Did you include any proof of income? I don't think this will cause your application to be returned. But if you failed to include any supporting evidence, this could delay processing.
2. No.
3. No.
4. Likely 5-6 when you receive first stage approval.
5. Yes, this could delay processing if CIC chooses to review your application more closely.

Ok, here's the thing. When you submit documentary proof, CIC CAN decide they want to authenticate it by calling to verify. Does it happen often? No. Can they do it and do they sometimes? Yes. It can also depend on the visa office processing. I know this is an In Canada Class application but anyway... If overtime CIC has discovered a high incidence of fraudulent documents being submitted from a particular region, the likelihood that they will authenticate is greater.

I just read a federal court decision where the VO noticed that original letters from a country in Europe were submitted on American sized paper rather than A4 which is standard in Europe.
