Hi.

I was wondering if there is any difference in processing times considering where is the applicant from, i.e do people from some countries/regions (for example USA, Australia, EU) get processed faster? Does the income of sponsor influence the processing times somehow?

If anyone has some information about that topic, I'd be interested in hearing about that.

Thank you.

Unlike outland, inland applications tend to take the same amount of time, regardless of the applicant's nationality. Some people may take longer if their relationship is suspicious.
The sponsor's income level does not have any impact on the time, unless the sponsor is on welfare, in which case it would be refused.

To re-iterate what MilesAway said, the processing time for an inland application is typically the same for everyone regardless of nationality. Nationality plays a role in the processing time ONLY if you are applying as an outland through your specific country's VO.

We have seen some delay for inland applications due to red flags or request for additional documents by CIC which in turn prolongs the application process.

The income of the sponsor does not affect processing times unless of course, the sponsor's income is not enough to subsidize the applicants basic needs and living arrangements (if the applicant is relying on the sponsor financially).
