Inland Spousal Application - awaiting interview at Etobicoke IRCC - Need to travel

Hi All:

My wife (Canadian Citizen) sponsored me and I received the AIP in September. Also on September 15th I received a letter by CIC that my application processing has been completed and Etobicoke IRCC will contact me for an appointment. I have not received anything from Etobicoke IRCC as yet.

I am a citizen of Pakistan but also have a permanent resident (green card) of USA. I need to travel to the US for an urgent family matter for 2 days.

Will I be ok coming back with my family. We also have a 8 year old daughter? Is it ok to travel with the AIP and re-entering? Need some help here!

AIP doesn't guarantee re-entry. However since you have a green card, chances are very high you should be allowed back into Canada. There is however always some small chance you won't be. So traveling does carry some small risk.
