I am an international student, married to a Canadian. I got a criminal conviction for driving while suspended license on june 18th 2013. my wife was also charged for some theft like 4 years ago but she was never arrested; not a violent crime.
she wants to sponsor me. am i eligible as an applicant and is she also eligible to sponsor me. the marriage is legit. and we have been living together for a year and half (18 months ) we have proof of rental receipts and letters from land lords saying that we lived on that particular place. and we also have joint bank account. we got married two months ago.. like on 28th july 2013. my study permit was recently expired and i applied for a new one, just a day before its expiry, and its still in process.
also, we dont have much pictures together not even wedding pictures.. can this be a big problem?
any suggestions, advice, replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Your wife's record isn't a problem. Your charge is a different matter and you should consult a lawyer before proceeding. You may be inadmissible to Canada for 5 years.
