Writing this on behalf of my spouse, the principal applicant.

We applied for inland sponsorship. After decision made, we received a passport request the following week for our dependent child who is still in the Philippines. This was more than two weeks ago. Passport was sent last week and received at the Canadian Embassy yesterday according to the tracking details.

My spouse had to submit a webform within 5 days of PPR stating that she is in Canada and will land virtually. We did this the day we got the passport request.

We still have not received her portal invite yet and are now becoming extremely concerned. On the new tracker, we are able to see her COPR document number as well as our daughter's. I thought that was a good sign but almost a month has passed since Decision Made and no portal invite.

Should be we concerned?

If you did what you were asked correctly then don’t worry. Webforms seem to be taking some time to get processed nowadays.

Hi GUYS,
I just got rfv letter for my overseas dependent spouse. It states that a passport should only be submitted after I, the principal applicant have landed. I stay in Canada and I have to wait for the landing from the Etobicoke office.
Also, I realized the passport validity must be 6 months and more.
my spouse's passport validity is currently 8 months. is it possible I will be landed soon virtually so he can submit his passport?
I really don't want us to start renewing his passport now because passport renewal in my home country is very stressful.
should I send an email to Etobicoke landing telling them of 8 months visa validity and for landing to be done for me?

please kindly advise

Did you receive any update on your case. I am in the kind of similar boat, where I can see COPR number from PR tracker whereas I have not received portal invite
