Hi there, I am so glad I found this site. My wife (Slovakian) and I got married June 16th in Canada. Since then we spent a month in Morocco, a month in France and the last month and a half in Slovakia. We had a second wedding celebration with her family and friends on September 28th. On October 24th we will arrive in Canada again. We have been preparing our application the last month or so. We then hope to start our lives in Canada.
We are wondering if we should try inland or outland sponsorship?
I have a few concerns with Inland....I have read that it usually takes a year to process the application. This worries me a little because we don't have a guarantee that She will be able to stay in Canada the whole time. If everything goes right when we enter she should be granted six months. Is there a point in the process that they will extend her stay?
If we apply for an open work permit at the same time does that extend the length of time my wife is able to be in the Canada?
Outland would mess our plans up a little as she might have to return to Slovakia at somepoint for a interview and we hope to be in Canada.
Thank so you so much, I hope my questions are clear. We appreciate any advice or suggestions.
