I'm looking to find a health insurance company(s) that I can buy emergency coverage from during the waiting period that I will incur for MSP in BC.
I currently have MSP, linked to my current work permit, but it expires on 30th November. My PPR is in progress so I should have my COPR in 3-4 weeks, However I'll be out of coverage. I guess I will then have to re-apply for MSP once I have my PR card and wait for 3 months again.
I just need some emergency coverage, to cover possible car accidents, broken bones etc... If something went wrong like that it would be a bad situation. I have looked at a few providers and it seems like they only provide for people coming to Canada.. I'm already here, and have been for the last 2 years or so!
Any info would be much appreciated, thanks!
Jonathan.
