Inland common law partner application- online application question

Hi everyone,

sorry if this is a really stupid question but it's not clear to me- my common law partner and I are starting an inland application and I'm a bit confused as to what is meant by an 'online' application in terms of the changes that were recently made- does this mean that all the documents get uploaded to a server or do we still need to mail an application package to the mississauga office?

there is no electronic submission for the application. the application can be found "online" on the IRCC website and you can fill out the forms online. However, you have to print everything out and physically mail it to mississauga per the instructions in the guide.

There are online portals where you will be able to track the progress of your application.
