Hello everyone,
This question is on behalf of someone.

They did inland sponsorship application for their kid who is 5 Y old born outside of Canada and entered Canada on TRP.

The application was submitted on June last year Medical was requested January and since then no updates.

The questions:
1- what would be the approximate timeline to get the approval?
2- the application is sent to Abu Dahbi visa office-- Any idea why it was sent outside for an inland application?
3- Once the application gets approved and COPR is issued can the child travel outside anada with expired isa entry and return to Canada with useing passport and COPR ?
4- The kid was issued a TRP on the port of entry which was expired and then they applied for restoration of status and the application was only paper dose this a negative on the application?

Note there is no such thing as an 'inland' application for a dependent minor.

2. Various reasons. Some nationalities always sent to outside offices. Again, no such thing as inland application; the kid just happens to be inland.
3. Yes, but COPR will not be sufficient to board a plane. PR card will be needed for that. Land entry will work.
4. No.
