This thread is for persons who got a virtual landing letter due to COVID and either:

* mailed in your letter and pic for PR card
* applied for new/amended SIN Numbers.

Please post your timelines so we can have an idea what the processing time looks like

How long does it take to amend SIN number? Can anyone send the link and if it is possible to renew online?

It takes around 2 weeks.

I sent my COPR doc via Canada post to Etobicoke on June 25th. I was able to link to CIC profile same day and have not received any updates after that.
In Cic portal it just says submitted.

Application approved - 2nd july
GC key showing - we mailed your PR card .it may take 6 weeks to arrive .

Hope everyone is doing good and keeping safe. I got an information letter in my account. Letter with 2 photos sent to Hamilton already on 1st July. Not sure what's linking to CIC profile means as I see a lot of people here said they linked it. @pemyrie Can you please help me here explaining what's linking means??? Do I need to do anything else after sending pics and letter??? Please help.

In CIC account, you can link PR card application and track the status of the application just like PR
