Does anyone here have (or have had) their landing interview in Vancouver?
I know that office is very busy, but it's disheartening to see people still waiting >6 months (as is a person on the 2011 Inland thread).

That seems like cruel and unusual punishment!

Yeah mine was Toronto too. I think one did quote me slightly cheaper but there was a few weeks of wait time.

I don't know. I just rang everyone on the list that CIC provides and got quotes and waiting times. Toronto has quite a few so maybe that's why some of them are quite competitively priced. It's a great racket for the Dr, the one i saw had 7 people in for medicals the hour that i was there, at $150 a pop that's some serious money.

I called some of the clinics here in Edmonton and the lowest price is $400.

The one inside the Superstore at Kingsway was the cheapest I found, it's $250 (not included the blood work and X-Ray), just be careful when contacting them, because they didn't give me a file number for me to send CIC now, and as a result I am redoing my meds and paying everything again, not to speak how this prevented me from getting AIP and DM at the same time...
Just ask them if they will give you the file number so you can tell it to CIC when the time comes.
They are nice people and the doctor is also a pleasant man.

Wow, is that the cheapest one you've found? I had a couple quote me $250 but then one did it for $190.

The actual Dr appt is about $175, the rest is the cost of the xrays and bloodwork at the "recommended" offices

But then I wonder...

--> Is it normal getting your UCI and Application Number modified after some point before AIP without notice??? This could be my problem. I sent my police check documents in may 2013 to the Canadian embassy in Mexico, as specified by CIC, but with my old Application Number, and now no one seems to have a clue where they are.

Aren't they the best, in my case they messed up my medicals, that wouldn't be much of a deal but financially, they lost 2 important documents from my wife that prevented her from being approved as sponsor already, thus preventing my AIP and OWP as well, I am so mad since Monday I could grab a flamethrower and make a little trip to Vegreville...

I am so worried, I call them every two days to see if they see any info and they always see my old addres (back from when my dad sponsored me last year) which means they havent updated anything. My husband work permit expires on may 16 and the longer this takes the longer he wont be able to work. This is so frustrating. (((

Did you send the application with tracking? If you did and you show it being delivered then I wouldn't get too flustered yet. If you did not send your application with tracking then you will have to wait and see what happens from here. Not everyone gets an AOR.

You have a long way to go yet and if you included an OWP then your husband COULD continue to work on implied status. This does all presuppose that he is not currently using an IEC or PWGP. Those are not extendable and do not qualify under implied status with a sponsorship in the family class section of immigration.

There are many many threads here and some folks on this board even that are doing just that, however their outcome still remains to be see if they will be caught and denied or manage to 'sneak' by. It is up to you what kind of a risk you are willing to take.

Good luck and try to be patient. It is a long process and sometimes nerve racking and quite slow, but so worth it in the end to be with the love of your life!

we did it with this docotor only charges 160
