Hello,
I am American and my husband is Canadian. We got married in September and I am moving up to Edmonton in January to start our inland application and get an open work permit. I can't seem to get a straight answer on what to do when I reach customs in Edmonton - do i say I'm coming in to apply for the inland? Do I keep it vague? Do I buy a plane ticket back that I never intend on taking?
I also don't have a return ticket (for obvious reasons) so I know the custom agent is going to ask about my length of stay. I know my 6 month visa isn't guaranteed, so I'd love to know the best course of action. This is getting me more and more worried as the time gets closer so any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Kylie
