Applications are open in the order of date received.
1. When application is received, it is acknowledged by CIC and you receive notification based on your courier service or signature option.
2. When application date becomes current, your file is open and if CIC finds that all documents and requirements are fulfilled then they assign a File # or case # to the application.
3. Once file # is assigned, you received a mail with file number and also you can see your file status online.
