Informing about new passport

Hi there,

My app is in process and I have an AOR. I just recently renewed my passport.

Do I need to inform CIC of my new passport and send them a copy?

Also when my passport is requested later on will I have to send both old and new one?

Hi,

I was in same situation as you, just send an email with both new and old Passport scanned copies explaining that you renewed Passport and that you want to update you file. you should hear back from them in 2 weeks.

Yep, since the document check list asks for a copy of your current passport, you need to email them a copy of your new passport.
