Hello,

This is Talha from Islamabad, Pakistan.

I applied for Permanence Resident Travel document in October 2016. I received a letter in July 2017 stating as I have not meet the residency obligation, hence I am not eligible for PRTD. The letter stated me to appeal within 60 days. I didn't appeal at that time. Now as for today, I wanted to know is there any option left for me to travel to Canada?

Since you didn't appeal, you have officially lost your PR status.

If you want to visit Canada as a tourist, you will need to apply for a TRV or eTA (if you are visa exempt).

If you want to return to Canada to live her permanently, you will need to apply for PR again from scratch.

OK. Is this refusal is same as any other visa type? For instance, same refusal as Single Entry visa or not?

In the student visa application for UK, there is a question stating 'Any visa refusal' I don't know whether to tick YES or NO.

I want to clarify whether that PRTD refusal was same as Single Entry 'Visa' refusal/any kind of 'Visa' refusal or not.

Also, whether this PRTD refusal will effect my application of student visa for a country like UK?
