am an Australian Citizen that has been living in Montreal for 2 years.

I entered a common-law relationship with my girlfirned on 1st July 2012

She applied to sponsor me and the forms were received by CIC on November 24 2014.

I have received my CSQ and 2 year work visa.

Our relationship isn't going to well currently and was wondering if we were to break up what options would I have?

Is she still obliged to sponsor me?

Thanks!

No she is not obliged to sponsor you at al.

CIC would have to be notified of the breakdown of your common-law relationship if you part ways and your application would be cancelled.

Some of the senior members would probably be able to give better information about your other options, but maybe you could apply through the skilled worker program?

For the Federal Skilled Worker program you now have to first submit an application through Express Entry. To be considered, you'd have to leave Quebec (FSW is for those who plan to settle in a province other than Quebec and CIC will want to see proof of these intentions).

If you have at least one year of full time skilled or semi-skilled work experience in Canada then Canadian Experience Class may be an option for you (again, you would need to submit an application through Express Entry).
