Info Wanted Dominican Republic to Canada

I know immigration takes time, I was wondering if anyone has any real info on how long things are really taking from the Santo Domingo office in the Dominican. Our file was received by the office in the DR on Sept 7/10. I am having serious surgery in November and I know I am grasping at thinking my husband and step son could be here for then.

It drives me crazy not being able to make plans for the immediate future.

Any info would be great thanks so much.

Well, sorry to be late to answer... But you should count at least 9 months...

And to be safer, think about 12-14 months... They seem to clear everything or to want to clear everything before the 12 months mark... But nothing in the history of SD, which is short, can really tell us what is and what will be the average time.

They are still processing applicants who submitted to Mississauga in February/March

Well, I would suggest: they are still at the January and February mark in Mississauga... March are still very unusual... You can join Dominican spouses in Facebook... you'll have a good review of what is happening...
