Hi all,

Does anyone have an official link on how to use the B4 & B4A forms?

I am confused on a large number of fields within these forms (i.e.: meaning, colour coding, etc.).

I don't need B4A if all the items fit in B4, correct?

Thank you,

-TS...

What is confusing you? We had it explained to us at immigration when hubby landed.

and yes, if everything fits on a B4, you don't need the B4A (Unless you have some stuff with you and some stuff to follow. Then you need the B4 for the stuff you have with you and B4A for "Goods To Follow") :)

Start with B4 form.
Grey boxes are not to be filled by you. Leave them blank.

If you have more items to list you need to add B4A wich is for additional items.
If you group the items,you don't need much space on the form;

Example : Cloths and linen : CAD 200
Shoes/foot wear : CAD 100
Kitchen utensils : CAD 300
Furniture : CAD 500
Computer : CAD 300
Music system: CAD 400
Miscellaneous : CAD 200
Jewelry: 1000 CAD

It is not necessary to list all items individually if they are not very costly. Your used personal items like the laptop, camera, cellphone, shaver, hair dryer etc, if carried in the checked in baggage are to be considered as miscellaneous items.

If you are still not clear please ask.

Do you know if the forms need to be signed in front of an officer or can we sign it before landing?
