I am currently pursuing my MBA from a reputed B-School in India after working for three years. My course completes in April 2017. I would wish to know the procedure/ timelines i should follow so that I can apply for the FSW/ Skilled Worker program and hopefully reach Canada once my MBA is over.
One of my primary concerns is that since I am studying currently, am I still eligible to apply for this? If yes, kindly share the procedure I would be required to follow.

Do you have at least one year of full time work experience?

you'll be applying under FSW. Your skilled work experience will need to have taken place within the last 10 years from when you're applying so you should be fine. Finish your MBA, do an IELTS exam, get your credentials assessed (ECA) and enter the Express Entry pool.
Your IELTS and ECA need to have been issued within a year from when you apply, and you can't do your ECA until you graduate so you can't do them until 2017.
You'll need to get a police cert within 6 months of when you submit your application - AFTER you're pulled out of the pool - so no point getting it until you get your Invitation to Apply because no one knows when they'll get invited.
You'll need to meet a financial requirement depending how many in your family. Maybe you can be saving for it now.
You'll need reference letters from your skilled work, I don't know if there's any point getting it 2 years before you'll be applying though.
Medical exam needs to be done within a year of your application submission, so again you'll need to wait until 2017.

I mean you could apply now without your MBA but your points will be lower. And you only get a certain amount of time to activate your PR. Maybe it wouldn't be an issue for you to fly to Canada to activate it and return to India to study for almost 2 more years? but then you'd pretty much need to come here straight away to meet the residency requirement to renew residency, 5 years from when you activated it.
