Different streams have different possibilities in the job market. What I know job opportunity is relatively high if you are looking for Applied computer science or IT related work after graduating as a Master in the stream. I would like to know how good is the possibility of finding a job as Industrial Engineer in Canada with a work permit.

Generally Industrial Engineering (aka Industrial management, systems/operations engineering) course duration is 1 yr 4 months. So work permit duration should be 1 yr 4 months (approx) as well. I am confused this 1 yr 4 months is additional duration after graduation to stay in Canada to find job plus working in the country or only work duration of 1 yr 4 months? If it is the later, what would be the permissible time frame for job hunt while staying in Canada? How good is the chance of bagging a job in the Industrial Engineering field in that window of time? I know ultimately getting a job depends on a lot of things like your scores, your interview and the list goes on. But what about opportunity? Would there be good enough opportunities in this field for at least application in the limited span of time?
