Hi there, I am an Indonesian passport holder with a US green card living in Ohio and obtained a job in Ontario. My employers applied for my LMIA 3 weeks ago and we are hoping for a positive result soon (prior application took 2 weeks).
1. From what I understand on reading this forum, I am eligible to apply for a work permit in the port of entry (and hence would not have to apply online/by paper and wait months for it). Is this correct?
2. Besides my offer letter, LMIA, $150 fee and medical certification (health care field), what other documents do I have to carry with me during this process?
3. My wife is currently a student in the US and will join me in Canada in January 2016. She will bring my apartment furniture and our cars during that time. Is this allowed or do I have to physically move my things over at point of entry.
Thank you
